Ever been stood up on a date? Waah! The amount of effort you put in preparation especially if it is the first date. Since first impressions last, you are there ten minutes earlier just to make sure you show your best side. So let me share my experience, this is another one, yes you are so right, another “evening walk.” Whispers <You Smart, You Loyal, I Appreciate You > I had an evening date, this one! I had to show up. On a normal day, my daily hustle ends late but on this particular day, a day that I was so looking forward to, everything was on hold.
Rushed home, freshened up, set the table for dinner. Dressing up was so inappropriate simply because he was to show up right in my living room. So I sat there waiting, ten minutes…fifteen min…20… okay, the guy never showed up. Embarrassing right? Yes. Every agenda on hold, waiting to see political aspirants debating while in the comfort of my home only for them to stand me up? All that effort! Sigh!
This particular evening, I wore the shoes of many Kenyans. Honestly, the feeling felt like that of being stood up. I must say I am so proud of how most of my fellow countrymen handled the situation online.
Quick question though, If everything you post online was to be plastered on a billboard with your face on it, would you approve it?
