RESPONSIBILITY, NOW MORE THAN EVER

THROUGH THE EYES OF A WOMAN
28th November 2017

Yo! Ever been to a place or met someone and all you know is that you’ve been together in spirit? Well, I was overwhelmed with this feeling this past weekend. It being the first week of September I had to spend the weekend in style. If you are the hashtag “new month” type of person, I know you feel me 😉

So yeah, I was pleased to have attended the Centonomy Campus edition that doubled up with the #TeamAdelle hangout. Maan this was a polite reminder of the importance of planning and working backward toward attaining every task, dream, and project.

My accountability partner and I kept nodding every time each speaker highlighted a point. We must have been together in spirit with the able speakers and the main guest Adelle Onyango.

The main secret is to write a list of everything needed, budget then timelines, and voila! you can now work backward. So for every dream to come true, for every task to be complete, for every project to succeed, consider doing away with these enemies of progress.

  1. Image – Try not to fit in. It is always very expensive.
  2. Instant Gratification –  Overnight success? wachana  na githeri man overnight success does not exist. At the very least, it is statistically so rare that people would have a better chance at “succeeding” by playing the lottery.
  3. Put in the hours –  time never disappoints.
  4. Be you, the flexible you – Be versatile.
  5. Do the impossible – Get out of your comfort zone.

My biggest take away – Fear kills more dreams than failure ever did

Before I forget, how do you introduce yourself to someone you just met? do you start with your name, occupation, school… isn’t that so cliche? Try telling this person other things other than the latter you will realize how easy it is to trigger interesting conversations.

I dare you to start

I dare you to start!

This time #EveningWalkWithEuniceAyuma met #TeamAdelle, the journey continues.
