Beauty surrounds us, but usually, we need to walk through nature to notice it. Aki after I just pulled that line it hit me that truly all great thoughts are conceived by walking.

Yours truly is a year older. Yaay! this new age is so strange for me, I have really had to come to terms with the fact that I am now a walking and talking adult. This dawned on me after death ripped me off the one person that held my hand, one who introduced me to the working world. “Ayuma, the most beautiful thing you can wear is confidence” he always said. Everybody else saw a boss, I  saw a mentor, one who in 2015, encouraged me to work towards being in an environment I am passionate about. And now, here I am in the film and entertainment space. So proud he was because he knew in safe hands I will be.

Waiting on 2018 like…

Yo! This year has not been any different, learning has got to happen no matter what, simply because anyone who stops learning is old whether at 20 or 80. Do you want to be called old? hell no! I don’t want that either, just call me a year older though, that’s cool with me. I was encouraged to read more and yes I joined a book club. Trust me, reading is an exercise in empathy an exercise in walking in someone else’s shoes for a while. I cannot thank you enough for taking evening walks with me this year. I compiled my best 9 of 2017 bringing it back ka TBT

Let’s now get down to it. Bullet 1…< Insert a deep male voice> The plot twist I used pale  8 was my all-time.

  • First guest post – After learning the power of collaboration I took an extra step to have a loyal reader take an evening walk to a documentary screening I attended. His perspective was one of a kind. Take a look.
  • Movie premiere – I love going to the cinemas and this one was the first Kenyan film I watched at the beginning of the year.
  • Girl Power – While the boy child versus girl child conversations heated up on social media, I chose to support a women-initiated exhibition. Jack Ma came and emphasized the power women possess need I say much?
  • Work backward –  Set goals then work backward it is as simple as ABC.
  • Travel  – This was time well spent with family and hey I experienced how people live life back in rural areas.
  • Online presence – This was a special post with so much thought put into it to people I interact with on a normal basis, members of the entertainment industry.
  • Network vs Net-worth – I love meeting new people and I knew this reasoning will bring you on board.
  • Politics – The political temperatures kept rising each day, though I am not a political analyst I felt the need to join hands with fellow online necessary noise makers to bring my point of view home.

Keep It #EveningWalkWithEuniceAyuma , In the next post, I’ll share tales from an evening spent at the Nairobi Safari Walk.
