African music and dancing are a vital part of everyday life in Africa.
They facilitate teachings in celebrating major life milestones, religious ceremonies, and festivals.
The theme at this fundraising gala was to re-imagine the original opening ceremony of the McMillan Memorial Library in 1931.
That evening, we showed up as our great-grandparents would, to raise money for the library’s restoration work.
I am African of the Kenya variety 😉
