Ayuma

Hey it has been long since we last linked up. From the Rios, up until now. I honestly missed you. Kenyans did us proud and of course, my homeboy Yego emerged a silver medalist and now we moving on swiftly. If you missed the Rio article and you feeling kinda left out, please find it here

Okay okay, let’s get down to it. Oooh on this cold morning who wouldn’t want to hear of warm, or should I say hot stories, this is going to be a journey so get yourself some popcorn/shuka (Blanket). Cliché was a project I was part of and every second I was on set I never wanted to leave. You know those kinda places you go to and when it’s time to leave you cry? Well, this happened at the last minute on set.

We traveled 35 miles from Nairobi to Machakos this to me was a date out will special people. Seeing Zebras grazing around was the order of the day. The cast and crew were huge bearing in mind we had another film (Indulge Me) to shoot, so we stopped halfway and did a scene by the road, before proceeding to Machakos People’s Park, this meant more time on set yaay! 😉

There is nothing in this world as satisfying as doing what you love. Machakos People’s Park is far from the governor’s office; we had a van so it wasn’t a big deal.

Watching the sunset was the highlight of the day; sad moments knowing its time to hit the road. The journey back home felt like a minute we didn’t have time to sleep as the crew kept on discussing shots (at this point I was clueless hehe)

Cliché, I read the script by Ian Thinji and knew it was a story I would want to tell. It was a great honor working with the director Firul Maithya.  You should see who the other talented actor is, Simon Waigwa.

Y’all should come to watch what came out of these creative people (Team Hamba Productions) today from 6 pm at the Goethe Institute. Watch the teaser attached to get a glimpse of what to expect. See you there.
